MENTOR PROGRAM

ACBL BRIDGE UNIT 540

SLO COUNTY

GOAL:

TO ASSIST PLAYERS WANTING TO ADVANCE THEIR SKILL LEVEL

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

One on one play

Setting up a periodic (i.e. once a month) game for approximately a six month period of time.

After round group discussion

Meet immediately after a round and discuss specific hands while still fresh. Time would be approximately one hour each week for around six weeks.

Internet group play

Set a specific periodic time to play on the internet. Possibly four students playing against each other with mentor "kibitzing". Bridge Base On Line is free! (www.bridgebase.com.) Quite a few members of our unit play on line through BBOL. Hands could then be discussed. Setting up possibly one evening per week or part of a weekend day could be established, depending upon schedules.
