Balboa Sectional

Results

The Balboa Sectional will be held June 6, 7, and 8 at Concordia University in Irvine.

Grand National Teams

Grand National Teams begins with club qualifying events, continues to a district qualifying event, and concludes with the finals at the 2008 Summer North American Bridge Championships (the nationals) in Las Vegas. The ACBL does not reimburse teams to attend the finals, but District 22 provides some support. Click here for Conditions of Contest and masterpoint awards.

Flights: Championship (Open), A (0-5000), B (0-2000), C (0-500 Non-Life Masters).

North American Pairs

North American Pairs (NAP) qualifying club games were held through the summer of 2007, followed by a district qualifier in January of 2008. The top pairs in the district qualifier will advance to the finals to be held at the Spring 2008 NABC in Detroit. Click here for Conditions of Contest and masterpoint awards.

A fixed amount prize will be awarded in all flights as follows:

1. In districts with three qualifiers, the 1st place qualifiers will receive $700 per person and the 2nd place qualifiers will receive $300 per person. The 3rd place qualifiers will be invited to participate in the national level finals, but will not receive any prize.
2. In districts with four qualifiers, the 1st and 2nd place qualifiers will receive $700 per person and the 3rd place qualifiers will receive $300 per person. The 4th place qualifiers will be invited to participate in the national level finals, but will not receive any prize.
3. Invited defenders will receive $700 per person.
4. No individual may collect two concurrent prizes.

Qualifiers must play in the national level event until eliminated to receive the award.
There will be no entry fee for the national level of the event.
